Robert Jason Campos Before I graduated from AJHS, most people already knew I was enlisted in the Army, I had already knew what I was going to do. I enlisted in the Army as an Armor Crewman. I drove the M-1A1 Abrams Tank. It was awesome. Later I was promoted to the gunner, if you could just imagine for a moment the amount of firepower this baby puts out, you would under stand the excitement. Anyway from Ft Huachuca, AZ to Ft Lee, VA to change my Millitary Occupational Specialty to Special Weapons And Military Tactics. I did my training in Ft Lee and was stationed in Ft Jackson, SC. After 2 years of training the Army's Soldiers on Weaponry I met my, girlfriend at the time, wife and was shipped out to Panama, South America where I got to use my skills of weaponry. Shortly I was then shipped to Honduras, El Salvador, Ecuador, Belize and Brasil where I got to assist the Alchohol Tobacco and Firearms Agents as well as the U.S. Marshalls in securing confiscated drugs from South American drug Cartels. After an amazing 8 months in South America, I then received orders to go to Ft Stewart, GA - home of the Calvalry and Mechanized Infantry. I made arrangements to see my girlfriend and about a year later and we got married. Life from then on in the Military was like a 9-5 job. A year later, not wasting to much time, we had our first baby boy Robert Jacob. A year and a half later we had a baby girl named Danielle Christine. My wife, Karen is originally from South Carolina, so after 6 years we decided to call it quits for the military and move to SC. With the aid of the Army I completed correspondence courses for college and helped me land this job with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department. I am an Animal Control Officer, and I investigate animal cruelty cases as well as large animal situations. I have been working here for at least 3 years now and loving it.
